Jonny's Basement

how do those T5 do in your opinion?

I like em....I think they look neater than clamp lights everywhere. And I'm super anal about things being tidy and neat. But they put off great growth. I'm impressed.

wow 20,000 lumens that you can put 4 inch away... thats better than 50,000 at 3-4ft.

thanks for the site

No problem, They're normally really good to deal with. By that I mean, I've never had an order that was missing anything, anything was broken, or shipped later than 2 days after ordering. And he normally sends coupons out with every order. i don't know where you live but I get mine next day. So as long as I order before noon i have it next day.

I wish I had 4' width in by growroom. 42" max!!! I know they make a 3' version. Do you think it has roughly the same lumens per sf?

This is a 2' with 4 bulbs- 8000 lumens...

2x2 with 10,000 lumens

Awesome Link man, Cheap too!!! that's perfect for seedlings/clones... might need to invest in one of those...

I'm using one of the 3 in 1's from sh with 3-105's with about 17k and with a little computer fan blowing on it you can get it about 6-8". That works for me but I have to get some new 105's (over a year old) and for the most part those are about $35 each so it's kind of a wash.

yah, this is what my 400w does for my soil plants...3 of them cant imagine 1000w

im actually going to be using it in the soil room cause i dont think i could ever get the temps from that to acceptable levels in my hydro closet... but the heat wont be an issue in the soil room

Looks like somebody's growing in the attic, boy that takes me back to some of my first grows!!

nice video, first one i've seen to get a video working

Lol.....

took me a while to figure it out too...

just copy and paste the url :grinjoint:

We have 16 /4' /6500 k/T-8 /34 watt bulbs in each of our 4x4 plots.
We used this link:Buy Linear Fluorescent Tubes - 1000Bulbs.com

Remember you can have a 4 lamp ballast and make your own adjustable set up. The finsh veg looks like an upside down 'U' (arch) with 4 lamps per side with three on each end and two on top.
Total lumens at finsh veg is around 48000 (16 lamps x 16 bulbs at 3000 lumens) in a 3x4 area give or take a few inches beyond lights.
During bloom we replace the top bulbs and replace with 1 400 watt HPS. We leave the side lighting.

The nice thing about adding lights is that you can add lights as they grow.
Flat at sprout and then slowly increase the arch at the center, which moves the top lights to the right and left of the plot, which allowes you to add more lights at the top. Continue to do this as they grow.

We do not use light housings. No, ours are all single light tube set ups. Sometimes we even place one in the center of the plant mass.

Setting this network up is a bit much the first but once you conceive what you're doiung, you see the ease of lamp placement.
We veg with the 6500k bulbs and use the t-8 style.
T-8 and T-12 have the same style of socket.

Bulbs ballasts we use:
