When the plant becomes mature enough it will display pre flowers... it does mean it will go into flowering cycle inless timing is changed to 12/12.
Cuttings from a mother plant or any other female plant will display pre flowers through out the veg period !

yes mate, once a seed meets sexual maturity it will show preflowers without changing to 12/12. its completely normal. and cuttings will show them too.
