Another thing to consider, if you do it yourself (NOT RECOMMENDED), and you make a mistake and it causes a fire, your insurance company may not cover it!

The first thing you better check is that your house has a 200 Amp main panel & not a 100 Amp panel. If it's a newer house it's probably 200 amp. But a lot of older houses only have 100 amp.
I ran my own electric to the shed. I used a 50Amp Breaker at the panel. Ran #6 wire to a sub panel breaker box I installed in the shed. From there everything is wired to it's own 15 or 20 Amp breaker. I have 3 outlets per breaker with a dedicated breaker for the AC.
