Reservoir temps in DWC

How low is too low? I've read that 68-70 is ideal, but I can't find anything that talks about what is too cool. Also, is there such a thing as too big a differential between root (res) temps and canopy temp? It seems like there would be a point where it would cause problems if your roots were too much cooler than the canopy, but that's just a guess.

try not to go under 60. i can't remember exactly how low the temps can go but if you stay above 60 you will be fine.

Canopy and root zone temp difference will not matter. In the Summer an in ground root will be roughly 58 deg F 18" below the surface, and our outside temps might be 100, and there are no shortage of outdoor grows here.

Below 50 degrees blocks Phosphorus. So how low is too low? 50. But I have seen/read 63-67 as ideal. At least for veg...
