Switching from veg to flower?

Hey guys!

So I have been growing two Power Plant strain feminized plants, and they are in their 8th week of veg. I’ve noticed some pre-flowering signs so I want to go ahead and switch them over to flowering. Before I do this, should I flush my plants of nutrients, or should I continue to water and feed as normal? They are growing indoors, organically, with foxfarm ocean forest potting soil. I hadn’t been giving nutrients for a while because of the nutrient rich soil, and started giving nutrients around week 6. Let me know your thoughts and what has worked best for you!

Hi DramaMonkey, I agree with FelipeBlu. Keep feeding veg nutes for a week or so after flip then go into a flowering nute. Any pics?

Thanks Stoneotter!! I definitely will! And yeah, I’ll post some pics I took today after watering and feeding! I’ve noticed preflowering calyx’s on all of the nodes, and on the main branches, there are 3-5 on each node, so I figured after this week, I can flip them!

How’s it growing Drama?
:passitleft:

Hey Felipeblu! Thanks for checking in. Things are great!! I watered/fed them yesterday (Tuesday), and I trimmed them back one last time before switching them to flower on Friday! I’ll post some photos below! I added another light, and it’s been helping a lot. There has been a lot of growth!

These first photos were taken during their last watering/feeding. I’ll post a separate post of pictures taken after trimming

Hey guys!! I was hoping I could get a little insight on a problem I’m facing?! So, I switched the light schedule to 12/12 for flower on Friday, and I’ve been having a hard time keeping the humidity low. I live in a very humid climate, and since I switched the light schedule, the humidity has only increased and I can’t get it any lower than 54% and it stays normally at around 63%. Has anyone else ever run into this issue? And how have you dealt with it?

Also, I have read a lot about when switching to flower, to decrease the distance to the lights. I had them around 24-20 inches away from light during veg, and moved them to about 18-16 for flower, and I’ve noticed a lot more burning on the leaves happening. Should I continue to keep them at the 24-20 inches away?

Thanks for the insight guys!

Higher humidity is natural as the air cools. Does your exhaust continue after lights out? If not, can you run it, even on low, without it getting too cool?

Burning is no bueno. I would put the lights back to where they were and let the plants grow up to them.

I think it has definitely risen because of less light, but we just had some pretty crazy storms, so the humidity in general is insane. It stays around 63% during the day and goes above 70% at night. Now, the setup I have, is in a 2ftx4ftx8ft closet. Our air condition unit is technically in the closet, so there is a pretty large vent more towards the floor, allowing air to come in and out. I have two fans in the room (I added one today to help air flow since the humidity is so high, trying everything to avoid mold), so there is really good air circulation. I put in a 500ml dehumidifier today to see if it would help, and it didnt do anything. I went ahead and ordered a 30pt size dehumidifier to see if that will help. Other than that, I am at a loss. I'm quite worried about my plants and their future :(

Hey guys!!

So I got the humidity levels under control. I ended up getting a 30pt dehumidifier and it has done the trick. It brings up the temperature too high sometimes, but nothing opening the door for 15 minutes can’t fix. The problem I’m running into now is still dealing with leaves burning. I have gotten them to a distance of 23inches away from the lights, and they are still burning. I’m not sure what to do, should I put them 30 inches away? I want to make sure they’re getting the proper amount of light, but I don’t want them to be burning. I’m using Viparspectra V300 lights from amazon, if that helps. Thanks for tuning in! Below are pictures of the burns and of the setup.
