The 2x2 & 2x4 Grow Tent Club

Like the idea here, lots of impressive set ups!

Pretty empty 2x4x5 over here lol, 260w qb and getting ready to run three 3 gallons into 5 gallons later

Liking the set ups here.
Also nice to see people can get good sized yields from the smaller tents.

I'm a month into my first grow in my 2x4x5 tent. I would have preferred bigger but it's all sapce would allow.

I have 2 lights, a custom built led panel with mostly deep red LEDs with some uv and a few blues, I've also added 2 of the double row Samsung 300k f series strips so my light totally covers the entire canopy very well and give me a true 440w.

I struggled with low temps so I've added a 120w tube heater and insulated the top and back of the tent.
I've also got 2 4" usb fans and a 150cfm extraction fan.

Just for fun I've also got a wifi camera so I can check in my ladies from anywhere.IMG_20191122_194348.jpgIMG_20191106_182703.jpg

I’m just starting week two and here’s my lineup. The Pineapple Express was added three days after the others due to second thoughts on another seed.

The space will fill fast.

Using a home made 2x4x6 cabinet on casters. Was running a 315 cmh but it was a constant battle with the heat so I switched to an HLG QB and have some cheap LEDs on the other half until I can order another QB.
Also have a 2x3x4.5 tent that i use for veg and clones with some cheap LEDs.
Having the two small gardens in tandem can really produce a good flow of meds once you get a rythm going. At one point i was pulling 4 oz every two weeks which doesn't sound like much until it starts piling up and more and more keeps coming.
I remember once i sent a friend home with a jar and they were like "i can't take this!" And I was like please! Im running out of storage! It just keeps coming and the old stuff's gotta go!

Great looking setup!
Just a little suggestion for you...
May want to raise your fan off the floor if possible. Don't want any shocks if it gets splashed! Also it would reduce the number of bends in the ducting. Each bend adds more resistance which makes the fan work harder. Or if you're really struggling with cold temps maybe don't exhaust the fan and just recirculate it as a sealed grow and not pulling precious heat from the tent.
Best of luck!

Hey thanks! Yes i noticed the fan got louder when i had moved filter to upright position to fit it all in, will the sealed room style give me more humidity issues, less c02? I could add an intake fan, anyway thanks for your advice southern!

Love all the setups, Looking great. It really is surprising how much you can turn out with a little space for veg and a 2x2 or 2x4 tent.

I upgraded to a 2x4 and use a 2x2 for veg, think that will definitely provide more then enough for me and the wife. Will post pics of the new setup once its complete. still trying to track down a used tray.

You could put one of those mushroom co2 bags or a green pad and get a cheap dehumidifier online. I think i paid $30 for mine and it holds 16oz of water. I usually dump it on the plants LOL

You Absolutely can!

Anyone got any advice with high lights off Rh and using a carbon filter?
I've been running my extraction 24hrs venting outside but now I'm well into bloom I can smell weed outside my home.
I've invested in a carbon filter/fan kit but have read high rh can kill the filters.
Lights on is no problem as it sits around 40rh but at lights off it peaks around 68rh.
I have a small dehumidifier but don't have room in the tent for a bigger one.

Carbon filters are designed to take high humidity, its just gunna cause the cover to be clogged sooner really.... Please do it today bud!
All set up and running, seems to have stopped the smell :thumb: IMG_20200111_184917.jpgrhino-pro-carbon-filter-kit-rhino-twin-speed-fan-from-1345-p.jpg

I just upgraded to a 2x4 and a larger light after my first grow in a 27"x27". I got over 8 oz on my first grow of two plants, which is enough to last me months, but I'm hooked on the gardening and want to have more room. Am I nuts??
Not nuts at all.
I realistically only need about 8oz a year to keep me going but I've just bought a second 2x4 tent.
It's fun to grow and I'll just give my extra bud to friends.
8oz is great for a first grow. I'm getting close to harvest, 3 plants in my 2x4 and I will be happy if I manage 5oz.

My first grow, 2*2*5 Secret Jardin tent
Since it broke ground, it's been "buy as it grows" with a Hydro Galaxy 300W full spectrum LED. It was pretty sad and Macguyver'd in the beginning of growing on minium wage with no equipment on hand (haha)

I'm just happy this plant is a fighter and strong at survival... I'm content with the yield no matter how small, I'm just excited to be growing. I finally have a 'house plant'
