Topping an auto

Hmm yes and no I think. Generally yes, there probably is something else going on that's causing slow growth to start with which would make them unable to handle a topping but I have had a couple strains that just didn't like it. Big bud auto the only one I can remember but sure I had at least one more that was growing fine but just didn't like it

yes i am assuming he saw preflowers and assumed the plant was flowering.
topping the plant isnt that big of a deal regardless, just top at 4th or 5th node so it has enough leaves to continue growing at a good pace.

anyone who said topping stunted their auto probably had alot more going on with the plant, kinda like the whole “need to flush my plants” crew

I saw some hairs for sure. Couldn't get my phone to focus for a shot but I got this on day 19:


This was the next shot I took on day 21, about 7":


Then today (day 25)about 12-13":

Ahh yeah thats a good job you never topped that one mate. If youd done it like 10 days ago maybe wouldve improved the yield but shes too fast a finisher. Thats the sort of plant i mentioned that you done want to fuck about with. Wont hurt to open her up a bit with some lst to let more light into the lowers.
Also what size of pot is that? For a solid pot you want at least 3 gal for an auto. 5 would be better. One thing that makes them go faster is limited root space. The plant knows its ran out of room to grow so flowers faster. Defence mechanism basically. More chance of survival. I grow in air and rarely see pistils before 7 weeks. Mainly as the roots cant run out of space. 6 weeks usually in 3gal fabric pots.
25ish days when i do stumpys in 200ml pots to break the boredom of waiting on photos lol.

I think it's a gallon if even. Started out with 4 in a 70x70 but peat pellets claimed 3, it'll be a half solo cup of coco next time. I was pretty liberal with the drain hole too so it would hit the res, it's about 3" from the bottom. Could be that once they thought they hit the water table they flowered ASAP. I gave it Rhizotonic which the only thing other than A+B, the roots look really dense in the hole. I might do the same pots during the week when I plant a bean or 2 as a little experiment. Just got up and running after 2 home moves and need to fill some jars lol

the hairs at the nodes are preflowers, those arent bud hairs they are node calyxes. i get those on my vegging plants (not autos)

Hopefully they full out like that gave them a tie down and dropped the lights a little, if you guys have any advice drop by my journal

Don't be para mate. If you think for one second the FBI or any of the very few other agencies that could actually hack this site. then hack your picture to get your IP address then hack that, then your service provider to find out who you are in order to arrest you for growing a couple of plants then you probably shouldn't be smoking it lol.
There's not many people in the world qualified to do all that mate and the ones that are certainly don't have time to waste going through all that hassle to arrest us for a couple of plants that will only get us a £300 fine.
If you start supplying half the states then yeah, they might send the mod squad on you but untill such a time I wouldn't worry mate. Send your tinfoil hat over here though and I'll keep it safe in the drawer with the one I made when I learned about chemtrails lol
