I'm currently mid grow since i grow perpetual but I want to document my monthly harvests for the 420 community to enjoy and for me to have a reference to look back on. I'm always focused on improving my grows and have experienced a few issues in the past but everything is running really smooth now and I have some time to keep this journal going so let's get started with the Veg tent first
My goal is to hit 8oz a month or more and I've been achieving almost 10 lately but to keep this rotation going I need a veg tent to pump out flower ready plants.
The Veg tent is a 4x2 and is only 4 feet tall and runs a 4 bulb t5. It's home to a cloning dome that holds all my cuttings and young plants. I keep a single bulb 2 foot t5 light above this dome and have been successful at keeping plants in this spot for up to 2 months in a attempt to save genetics. The small t5 promotes slow growth
The next batch of ladies to hit flowering will be 3 CKS Blueberry plants from regular seeds so these could end up male. I also have 3 Purple Orka Cookies from mishap with unstable genetics but the cross sounded so good I decided to give them a shot. They may hermie but I'm hoping the Urkle stabilized them. Only time will tell
I also have 4 purple Ukle and 2 Orka Cookie #2 getting ready for next month.
These are the 3 CKS Blueberrys, they hit flowering in 2 weeks
The Flowering tent is a 4x4x7 with a 600watt HPS. We have plants at different stages in here. We have 4 Purple Urkles and one Blackberry at 6 weeks. The Urkles will gor for 9 weeks and the BlackBerry will go for 10.
Her we have the batch that just Hit flowering. Two Orka Cookie #5s and 3 Birthday Cakes. The Orka Cookie pic is day 1 of flowering and the Birthday cake has been in for a week.

I started flushing the Birthday Cakes Yesterday so they will come down in a week or two.. I don't know when I'll harvest them since life gets busy sometimes but she'll tell me when she's ready.. I started the flush with plain water and rinse the nutrients out of the soil until the water has a golden color. My next two watering will be water, molasses and bud hardener and then I'll go back to straight water. I want her leaves to lighten up before I cut her. I'll probably cut the popcorn off early so I can smoke some while I chop her. There's nothing better in my opinion than smoking the strain your chopping.
I've been pretty lucky with my strains, they all come out nice and frosty.
Orka Cookie #5. She's on a roll.. Kinda hard to believe she's only a week behind the Birthday cakes. I'm guessing 10 weeks for her but I think I let her go 9 last time and she wasn't ready. The trichomes are starting to multiply and the buds should start bulking up soon.. The smell coming off these ladies is strong and is one of my stinkier strains. She was a accident from some hermies in my first grows but I grew some seeds and I believe OC #5 is stable. I know everyone says not to grow hermie seeds but the potential for this cross had me willing to chance it. I grew 5 and 3 of them either hermied of had late flower bananas. I think #3 might be stable since she looked clean and I didn't find any pollen sacks but I did find seeds in her. #5 was completely seed free which was shocking at the time. My last 4 or 5 harvests have been seed free (Not even one) so I'll find out how stable the Orka Cookies really are.
Orka Cookie x a Purple Urkle Cross.
These came from the test run of the 5 Orka Cookies. One of them got a little pollen on my Urkle and I decided to chance it again. No signs of hermies yet and the Urkle is super stable so hopefully she had those traits passed along. I see a lot of potential with this cross so I'm patiently waiting for some trichomes so i can give them a sniff and watch there buds build. 2 of them are tall and one is about 5 inches shorter. The shorter one looks different than the other two at this phase in flowering with smaller buds and different looking hairs.. Fingers crossed for a keeper..

Thanx, I would love to take the credit for the build up of trichomes but I honestly beleive the genetics play a bigger part than my growing techniques or choice of nutrients. I've tried using boosters and expensive bottled nutrients from the hydro shop on strains that I felt needed a boost and if they did anything at all it was so miniscule that it was un noticeable to the naked eye.
Indeed that makes sense. I have read that before. Either way, it's a product of hard work. Congrats. Hoping my kaboom end up looking that good. High hopes.

The Birthday Cakes are almost ready. I've been flushing them for a week now and they kinda look the same. I see a few white hairs so I'll give them a few more days and another flush. I'm aiming for a early Tuesday trim session to get these ladies drying and give the tent a little breathing room. My veg tent is getting really full so I definetly need the room.. This batch sure came out frosty.
I got some nice buds down low this round.. =)

She's at 7 weeks and doesn't even look close to being ready yet.. she'll definetly go 9 to 10 weeks if I have room. She's frosting up nicely and stinks really bad. My power went out for about a hour a few days ago ( during lights off) and without the filter or fan running the whole house smelt like tweeds...

The Birthday Cake and Urkle are clone only strains I picked up from Harborside in Oakland. The BlackBerry I run was a bag seed and the first grows consisted of Moxie, Dinafem, HSO and a few others I can't remember at the moment..I've heard good things from sensi seeds but I've been eyeballing a few other breeders at the moment who are well known to have killer strains.
I am trying to find the best genetics fem bean. Any ideas i am very experience so a hard strain is fine. Please let me know your thoughts
I checked out sensi seeds and they seemed kinda basic. If i was you I would be looking at Humboldt Seed Organization, Emerald Triangle seeds or DNA genetics.. They all have some really nice feminized beans..G13 labs has some nice genetics too.. be sure to check out our sponsored seed banks but if you want to browse a large catalog and dream search attitude seed bank. I can spend hours just browsing their site..
Same here.. Ever checked out THC farmers seed selection? They have some cool gear nobody else carries and Alien sells his gear there.. lots of interesting strains .
