What temperatures can Vancouver Island outdoor plants handle?

Scenario: Plants are expected to finish 2nd wk of october and one the end of october. They dont get rained on, they are defoliated properly for an efficient air flow, decent amount of light, humidity 50-60%, watered when needed. Healthy nutrient supply. What temperature should be the killer? I realize each strain is unique;) Thanks:)

Frost. Here in the Comox valley, we don't see that until November. I'm more concerned about the monsoons which can kick up as early as mid-October. Your plants look to be at the same stage as a couple of mine albeit much bigger. I'll never make the late planting mistake again. I think I'm closer to end of October with mine.

You should selectively defoliate some of those leaves and get more air and light to some of those prime sites

I grew up on Texada island, usually harvested mid October. Looks like you have some control over elements so I think you'll be just fine! What strain (s)?
Nice and good to hear!:) 2 hashplant phenos from clones and 1 unknown purple indica from a bag seed given to me.

Texada Timewarp! i've got a buddy that i work with who grew up in Lund...we've been sharing great stories about our youth and growing.
i'm transplanted to the interior of BC (Kamloops area) and hoping my hillbilly greenhouse keeps the ladies going to the end of october, but we were down to 2.8 degrees last night. i still need another 4-6 weks to get a proper yield. you island folks are living in the tropics compared to us!

plants are looking good. nice job on the tie downs to get more prime nuggs

you'll understand "hillbilly greenhouse" when you see my journal!!! i've considered a space heater but would be paying insane hydro for a month, but i'd have weed for a year which is not a bad trade. i've even considered filling a rubbermaid bin with hot water before cold nights are suspected as a heat source? it can be quite temperate in the days, even hitting low 20's so there is decent weather. i might just have to pull them inside every night for a while if it is expected to cool down to that level. good luck on your flowering period.

Go with a tiny heater bro, you will never regret it! It may cost you 20$ for a month max, maybe 40 with dehumid, it will be so worth it!!! Thats like a few hrs of pay.

You don’t wanna add humidity to your greenhouse during flower.. that’s just asking for budrot

Yea the hot water idea is not even an option, that watwr would be same temp as the ground in like 2 hrs probably or sooner depending on outside temp. Dont over look it, these are plants/weeds that are very strong like the rest of the plants on our yard. Focus on airflow, and staying dry and warm and should be ok

i live in Maine usually all my plants including indicas get hit by frost it seems to make go nuts with colors and resin then my sativa strain finish 2nd 3rd week of October usually and then we are getting frozen puddles and the leaves have a coating of ice and this seems intensify the bud and leaf colors along with pushing resin production into overdrive. i have also seen plants make it threw early snow....i swear i had a an extremely confused plant...so IMHO ride it out until ya chop for fear of rot or they all done cookin with enough good amber
