In a bit of a bind. I have a stack of seeds that are maybe a year and a half old. Having trouble germinating them, and obtaining more seeds from the internet etc is a bit of an issue. The one local distributor that i got my seeds from in Oz has folded up shop, and everything else is coming on...
I am just germinating some seeds now, and will be doing at least one more soil run. I had wondered about the coco coir (it probably represents about half the mix, along with the other things ive mentioned). I had read somewhere that it can cause a magnesium deficiency due to how it decomposes...
Hi, i grow small plants in a gutted out 4 draw filing cabinet. Not alot of space height wise. I have been growing in soil with decent results, but i have also had a surprising amount of nutrient deficiency issues given that its "super soil" scenario (coco coir, perlite, large quantities of worm...
Hi all,
I understand the general process of using colloidal silver or gibberelic acid, thats fine. The one area i am unclear on is, do i take the seeds produced by the treated plant as it self pollinates, or do i need a 2nd untreated female to be fertilized by the treated one? I have heard...
What do people think of waiting till the nodes are no longer symmetrical (ie. No longer 2 branches sprouting at either side along the stem at the same point)? I suppose it depends on the grow space.
The plant itself produced decent buds. There was only the occasional ball sack that emerged halfway through flowering, one seed each bud so far. Not chock full of seeds. I would consider using the seeds if they came out just like the original.
Hi All. I've seen people say that seeds from Hermie's are as good as bird seed. What exactly do you get from them? Just more random Hermie's? Or do you get a carbon clone of the parent? Thanks
I was thinking more of a one off foliar spray, absorbed through the leaves and so won't affect the soil. Just enough to darken them up. I think my soil is fairly robust in terms of nutrients and microbes, so I only occasionally give a boost during flowering. I knew too much nitrogen stunts...
The obvious solution would be to run an air pump or use the correct ascorbic acid. Personally I reckon a little chlorine isn't to bad for a soil grow. When I water I use tap water, a bit of molasses and this stuff called go go juice (I am guessing its like URB in the states, a plant probiotic)...
Hi all. I know you can pump a plant with too many nutes but I was wondering, given the 2 week stretch where the plant shoots up at a rapid rate, would it be beneficial to top a plant up with extra nitrogen a day or two before flipping. I am assuming during the stretch nitrogen would be getting...
If its a short time that's good. When I take down my current female in a week or two I will leave the light cycle 12-12 while it dries in there, and get the male going. Thanks
