250w or 400w hps for cupboard

Iv got a cupboard of size 100cmx50cmx160cm(LWH) and i need to choose between a 250w or 400w hps.. can any one help me?

hi,
Ive tried a 400w hps and had to much heat when the plants got larger. Using a 250w hps now and it seems to be going great, can keep the light 6-8 inches away without any burning issues.

don't do metric very good, had to convert it, showing around 5.5 square surface feet. rule of thumb is 40 to 50 watts per foot. Looks like the 250 is right on. plants look really good.
