A bit bushy

Should I be worried

Yeah and a lot of leaves are dying. I just fed nutes to both but the one on the left seems to be a bit better off. This whole time I thought 5g pots but I only put 3g of soil in. Only been feeding both a gallon every watering. Also pulled a majority of dead leaves. Pulled the lights up to 12 in away also

I think you helped diagnose part of the cause.
Pot space is the most valuable real estate in your tent. :Namaste:
I have pictorials on the proper way to fill pots in all my threads.
Roots are key to everything.
Just keep feeding properly and you will make it no problem.
I'll guarantee I've made with much worse. ;)
You will be ok.:thumb:

Yeah guess got a bit excited getting back to it.
But would skimping them a 1/2 gallon each feeding also be the problem. They are kinda far behind. Think 80 days since sprout

FF soil right?
You should be feeding until runoff when you feed.
Then let dry next time water to run off.
Let dry Feed to runoff. Alternative
Always full strength always to run off.
Have you been getting runoff?

Do you check ph of nutrients going in?
Full strength right?

I did what it said on the ff nute bottles but I just did like 1/2 of the recommended on big bloom and 1/2 tsspoon of cal mag and either 2 or 3 tiger bloom. Each plant got 1/2 gall of that. pH was 6.2 or 6.3 if I remember right. Runoff was 6.0 I think. Ppm was 1100 on the nutes

Ph is perfect. 6.3 is your goal in soil.
Do not water down your nutrients.
Follow the schedule exactly as they recommend.
1100 ppm is in the range but what was it before you put nutrients in?
Just plain water from the tap?
Because full strength should be around 1100 ppm.
But if your water is hard to start it will bounce your number up.
When I lived down south town water was 300-400 before I put anything in it. :Namaste:
But always full strength according to the schedule.

I always use distilled but would it be ok to use hard as long as I pH it?

I run a high pH well 8.0-8.5 avg I use pH down after nutrients. The nutrients itself that I use, lowers the pH a bit. Then a touch of pH down to hit my mark

I test pH from well
pH after it has sat 48hrs in 5 gal jugs
pH after nutrients.
Then final pH after it's sat 30min.

It's probably overkill. But it's something I have overlooked in the past. Make sure You're feeding at recommended dose. It's important that your not starving you plants giving you unnecessary issues.

Don't skimp the calmg. Using distilled can be fine, but it's also unnecessary cost.

Thanks bill. So definitely let them sit for 24 to 48 hrs if using tap water and pH it before use right? I got 2 fans running on exhaust that I got switching off sometimes then an oscillating fan that blows on the lights to help bring the temps up should I leave them both running all the time or like I have it now. Also got white mold on the soil of one but I read it was a good thing.

Mold or fungi on the soil is usually beneficial microbes at work.
Does it smell? :Namaste:
But don't fret no issue.
Explain that question about the fans a bit better please :Namaste: Location & Purpose? Thanks
Talk soon.

Got an oscillating fan by the lights blowing the heat down to circulate the warm and I got a inline 4 in fan at the bottom as exhaust fan. Or should I switch them around?

I think you have it :thumb:
Depending on the season and temperature swing they can go either way.
Cool weather draw out the bottom if you have rh issues.
Warm weather or heat issues draw out the top.
The main concern is good air circulation around the girls.
Especially if they are bushy or thick underneath.
Try and control things as best you can. :Namaste:
