A Warning For 2nd Hand

Just a little warning for anyone who has bought or will be buying a second hand growtent/system. I did such a thing a few months ago and while I'm confident I still got a bargain, I have paid dearly for not checking my kit properly and thoroughly before starting my grow.

• Check everything is absoloutely clean. From pots to resevoirs to pump lines
• Thoroughly clean any reusable mediums or better still, buy your own
• If you have PH/EC pens, please please please buy calibration fluid and recalibrate them (they can be a long way off - catostrophic)
• Check you bulb whatever it may be is still working at it's full brightness
• Check all ducting for little wholes
• Check use by dates on any nutes that have been bundled in

I succomb to 4 of the above, please take heed. And please add if you can think of any I've missed.

I would never recommend buying any just used hydro anything...not the open nutes or pumps or whatnot....unless you see it working the night before at you buddies place....buying used lighting and things like that is different....I think this is a no brainer...thanx for the heads up...and sorry bout your purchase ....bet that won't happen again....
