Hi guys ....

So I have 11 litre pots which I want to use between 6-9 of them in my tent

mum question is would I be better doing autos or do photo period and switch to flower early .... if so .... how early ??
Looking forward to hearing your guys response

just a little more info would be good...
What size of tent, is height an issue? What light are you using? Do you want to train them? How much time do you have? Are you trying to finish something quickly or do you have a little time?
There are so many variables in plants that you can have virtually anything your imagination can dream up.

So my tent is 76x76x180. I’ve got a 125watt cfl then a 600 hps dual spectrum and also a 600hps red spectrum ..... kinda wanna get as much as possible as soon as possible Yano ... wanted to do sea of green method but didn’t know if the pots would be big enough and if so didn’t know how short I could get away with veg stage ie how soon I can switch them

I'm just gonna hop along for this ride and pose the question, why does anyone like autos? Not trying to be judgmental at all, I've only ever grown photos and honestly don't see any appeal to autos. I prefer photos because of the added control I have over the plants and can veg them much larger and maximize my space. It seems like most autos are relatively small compared to photos and you can't utilize training techniques the same way, so for me, I prefer photos. I also like being able to continue to clone plants and saw this can cause issues if done multiple times to an auto. I may like photos better because seeds are more difficult for me to get than some, but what are some of your reasons for growing autos?

I switched mine at just over 5 weeks from seed and they were quite large. I have 4 plants in 60l pots in 4’x4’. My journal can be found in my signature if you want to check out the size.
You have to consider height. You need your minimum distance below lights then consider the height of your pots. How much space is left...keep 1/2 space for plant and 1/2 space for stretch then you’ll know how tall your plants can be.
autoflower plants don’t give you as much ability to train the plant so keep that in mind also.

Only reason I’m not sure what to go for is due to the size of my pots .... And apperntly the autos are more robust and hardy ..... someone told me to do photo and veg for 2-3 weeks instead of autos due to using small pots .... or would the answer be use less but bigger pots and veg for a week or couple more ?? Just trying to get best yield in best time really ......

If it was me, I’d go with photos. Gives you lots more control and in my experience autos are much more finicky.

ok magenta... Thankyou for the advice .... reckon it’ll be legal here in next few years so will just be able to buy it from shop then
