San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies in Rancho Cucamonga investigating tips about suspicious activity at two homes said they seized 1,520 marijuana plants and two pounds of marijuana on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

Deputies also found evidence that electricity was being stolen by bypassing the meter at both locations, a news release said. Such electrical setups have sparked fires in the past, the release said.

Search warrants were served at homes in the 13100 block of Baxter Springs Drive and 12500 block of Overland Drive. No suspects were found. The separate grow operations do not appear to be related, the release said.
