Calculating square footage vs. lights needed

Thank you i am exploring my very first indoor and need as much info as i can muster so as to minimize mistakes where possible.

Typically it will be as follows (variables as always):

250w - 2'x2'

400w - 3'x3'

1000w - 4'x4' to 5'x5'

LED = 35+ watts per square foot (of good quality panels)
HPS = 50+ watts per square foot
CFL = 65+ watts per square foot

Length of the room x width of the room gives you the square foot.
