Can someone tell me why my plants are dropping? Is it over watering?

Was watering once a day using kiss method with Maxibloom adding cal mag and silica. ph 5.8-6.1 I think it’s over watering so I did not water yesterday and now more plants are looking droopy. First time coco grower

if you are watering once a day and never allowing oxygen to be drawn down deep into the coco to supply the roots. It is my understanding that you need to oxygenate the water in some way if you are going to keep the medium wet.... are you doing that? Without it, I can see why this droop is happening, that looks exactly like a plant in soil that is being overwatered.

As long as you have good drainage, it's impossible to overwater a plant that size in coco. 100% coco still holds 30% oxygen even when saturated, and adding perlite increases it.
I'm no expert at diagnosing plant problems and deficiencies but it's obvious by the discolored and spotted leaves that there is some problem and it's not overwatering. I assume you always feed to run off and never plain water? What's the pH coming out?
Good luck.

I did not have any air stone in my res. Just added one in. And going to feed today to see if that helps. Some plants are fine and others look horrible.

Discolouration is because I sprayed them with big be gone a couple weeks ago( ran out of neem oil) and that’s how the leaves turned

I sure hope so. Letting my water hit 68. And oh at 6.1 let’s hope for the best. One of them are exploding with growth and others are drooping. Crazy

I water between 5.8-6.1 alternating feedings to get the best uptake of nutrients. I was told this by a friend who grows in coco.

It kinda looks like a phosphorous and magnesium deficiency. Water at least once per day.
I use this feed schedule and have never had a problem

I would like to agree with SeriousBurner that I see signs of a phosphorus deficiency. I would ask your friend who grows in coco to check this against his assumptions that you should alternate between 5.8 and 6.1. I submit that you already pass through 6.1 after every watering at 5.8, and that you are missing the low and middle end of the hydro range by never coming in at 5.5. I also repeat my above and state that when you water at 6.1, you drift almost immediately out of the range and of course you are going to see deficiencies as a result. You might ask your friend why it is appropriate on that watering cycle to let the pH drift up into the soil range, because I am sure he will have an explanation for you. Welcome to the online world, the place where Bro-Science and actual science meet and have a discussion. It is now up to you to choose which path to follow.

I would think in the middle of the range, 5.8 would be most appropriate most of the time, with an occasional slide lower.... but have you checked with some other coco growers on here to see what they do? I am a living soil grower, so I may not be up to date on all the latest coco news and methods. There are many notables here that run exclusively coco and they should be able to give you the straight scoop. Check out this thread by @Cultivator to see how a real expert does it:
