Correcting soil PH:

I'm growing in 15 gal containers using Edna's Best, an organic potting soil. PH run off is 6.5 when I use unadjusted tap water with a PH of 8.2.
On some plants I'm getting a magnesium lockout (opined by others that my root zone PH is too low). My routine is to add my nutrients, then adjust the ph to 6.5 (using sodium bicarbonate), thus my PH run off has been in the low 5's.
My question: will watering vegging plants with a the earth juice line (grow, meta k, micro blast, catalyst) and adjusting the PH back to 8.2 cause a nitrogen lock out?
Is it better to water in hydrated lime and try to adjust the soil (I'm 2/12 months in veg. since germination)? If so, whats the best method?
Thanks

Don't use sodium bicarbonate! Stop adjusting your PH all the time! In other words hold your horses and let your plants grow!
