I transferred the the seedling yesterday, I know it started off pale when I transferred it. It's been under 18/6 light for 1 day so far, does this seem normal? Is it turning green from the center and working it's way outwards?
The green is caused by chlorophyll in the leaves. The Chlorophyll is caused as a product of the photosynthesis. It will take another day or so of good light for the photosynthesis to produce enough chlorophyll to finish producing enough to fill out the rest of the cotyledons.
Most new growers do not even noticed that the cotyledons are a paler shade of green for the first few hours up to a day or so after a seedling pushes through the soil.
It is pretty normal, I just had one break ground a coupe days ago, the cotyledons were purple in the morning, 6 hours later they were green. Takes a little bit for the chlorophyll to "wake up".
