Do Plant Genetics Carry Over?

Hi all, I currently have 3 female plants which are currently flowering and a nice tall male hermaphrodite which is producing pollen. Now I want to pollinate one of the females to produce some seeds. So as the title says, i'm wandering if plant genetics carry over? I've put the smallest of the females next to the male, or should I pollinate a bigger plant so the seeds produce bigger plants - is that how it works or are genetics reset each cycle?

Also the male hermy is producing some of its own seeds.. if I go ahead and use those seeds is it still a 50/50 chance of female or less chance as its a predominantly male hermy?

so it started as a male and started growing buds or was it a female and strted throwing out nanners?
yes it does make a difference
a male hermie into a female is reffered to a super male
a female that hermies and starts going male you just want to throw out
I really don't know too much about the super male but theres a thread or 2 on 420 talking about it
