Omar Sedmak, 46, was stopped for an RBT at Burleigh yesterday when police allegedly found 50kg of the pressed and packaged drug in the back if his Holden Statesman.
The breath-test on the 46-year-old Munruben man came up negative when he was stopped about 11am yesterday but the number of items scattered in the vehicle's back seat made officers suspicious so they searched it, police said.
Regional traffic co-ordinator, acting inspector Brayden Murphy, said officers noticed loose items on the back seat and wondered why they were not in the boot of the Holden Statesman.
Police allege they found three or four large bags and a couple of suitcases in the boot.
According to the Australian Crime Commission, 50kg of cannabis would have a street value of at least $1 million.
Sedmak, a traffic control manager from Munruben, was granted bail in the Southport Magistrates Court and will return to court on June 25.
