DWC/Bubblebucket root pruning

Sorry for my absence. Had a scare ... and won't go into details lol.

My DWC setup currently using 1800w of growledhydro lights is pretty amazing ..BUT

about 4 weeks left of flowering and the 5gal buckets are nearly full of roots. ...completely full of roots...

can they be trimmed?

I will post photos of the grow right before harvest...

roots are good, dont cut em just feed em!!

i understand roots are good lol ..but when they completely fill up the drain and have grown circles around the airstones ... what do you do?

I have a friend that cuts back roots in his aero unit ...

just trying to get an idea what to expect when I do cut some roots out .... and how much can I cut out?

Like i said previous ...only have about 4 weeks left of flower.

Next cycle I will upgrade to 10gal buckets and will not have this problem.

Yes they can be trimmed. Go easy and expect some stress (ditto for the plants, lol).

Thanks for your reply. My girls actually look happier now that they have some room in the buckets to breathe again. Odd they reacted that fast I think ...but it was definitely the right thing to do.
