Newbie here. Thanks for pointing out that caring for 6 MJ plants is challenging. I will try my best to limit myself to only 3 (maybe 4) MJ plants. My first ever grow is for making my own med oils (sublingual), and topical lotions & salves for chronic pain. Waded thru lots of info re applied pesticides (very confusing, with differing opinions). My hobby is gardening roses, CA natives and drought resistant Mediterraneans. So happy to learn I can use companion plantings to protect my precious potted MJ. I will plant a couple of cloves of garlic with each MJ in its 10 gal pot. And I will surround my potted MJs with separate pots of Basil, Coriander, Salvia apiana, Calendula & some Scented Geraniums.

Do you also run an IPM(Integrated Pest Management) schedule?
I think that while companion crops can be great additions to pest management a healthy soil and weekly IPM are your top defenses .
IPM is pretty simple and really effective to set up if you don't already have a routine .
