Fan Leaves covering bud sites?

I'm not sure if it's ok to do so, seeing as how their only two weeks into budding into their flowering stage. A lower level bud site is completely shaded from light 75% of the time. I say 75% of the time because I like to rotate my plants in a circle. The question is, can I trim the fan leaves off to help give the little bud sites some extra light?

When you get them as tall as you want them & change the light cycle . . . . . you need to prune or cut off all the big hand size leaves. Except the lowest ones. This allows all the bud leaves to flurish which is essential for big healthy yummy buds.

If anything I would either tuck the leaves out of the way, or get rid of the lower branches all together. They aren't going to amount to much anyhow. It appears you're using CFLs and you need to keep those so close that the lower branches even if uncovered aren't going to thrive.
