Well this is my first growin this beautiful plant. I have seen the medical side of mj and it will stay with for life. Growing put a new perspective on the on mj to make it more personal and I can't wait to get some bud of it. The only downside is trying to wait it seem like days nothing happens and days it sprouts a nod half a inch long lol. I am also do this on a cheap poor just out of the military budget lol. so no fancy lights or expensive growing set up. I do not if this is a good way to grow might not get a ass load of bud but I'm learning and loving it. Let me know what y'all think.

hiya rabbit im fairly new too so no special grow tips but i do think you will need more light
anyway at least i bump your post so some experts can chime in
ill be watching
good luck and take care

What kind of bulbs are you using there? Incandescent bulbs are not good for growing cannabis, but compact fluorescent bulbs work pretty well. You should use 6500K bulbs for veg, and 2700K for flower. Cfls are cheap, and inexpensive to operate, meaning lower electric bills compared to HID lighting.

yea in the one pic I had incandescent and knew I should use cfl so I switch out after the pic lol, Here is my new set up now after getting my army severance pay. 4 cfl daylight bulbs shine nice and white, I took my old led light and placed them facing upwards towards the plants anyone think this is good or bad idea thanks here some new pics let me know what you think :thanks:

One more thing, cfls put out most of their light off of the sides of the bulbs, so they work better if you can hang them side on. I had mine the same way at first and a veteran cfl grower set me straight. The plants will still grow, they just won't get the maximum amount of light from the bulbs.

I'm a little slow lol so do you mean taking the metal cone of and angling the light on there side?

Sup Rabbit,Welcome to 420 man.Yes I believe that is what Dank is telling ya.If you want I can post pic a light I used to use a will be bringing it out of retirement soon. You also do not need that light shining up.You want side lighting, not bottom lighting. Also you can get those cfl a lot closer then most light's.I am talking like 2 inches.I'll sub up and follow your grow and will help when I can.J6k:lot-o-toke:

Here's a pic of the way I used to have mine, I used socket extensions from the hardware store to get the bulb or there where I wanted it. I hope this helps, and I'll take a pic of my current veg setup so you can get a better idea.

These were all flowered under cfls, and the first round of plants didn't yield well, due to mistakes on my part. I'm giving my plants more watts this time, with a dual spectrum 250 watt cfl, and some side lighting. You can come over to my journal and see what I got going if you want.

Oh my god those are beautiful looking girls I hope my plants can come out 1/3 to what yours did but be my first grow im taking it in strides. question I have one is about 18" tall with 6 nods and 14" tall and 4 nods. when a good way to to tell to switch to flowering. I don't think the 14" is going to get any more growing in the veg stage but I could be wrong

I veg in 7gal and 10gal smart pots to a height of 24-30in and they turn into a huge bush. How long you veg for and how you train them, if you top them or not, it all plays into when you flower. Eventually they could get root bound but that takes 6+ weeks of intense light and nutes in veg.
