First hidden grow

I got the bright idea to turn my computer desk into a grow room. I went with flat white paint for the reflect, a computer fan out of my old desktop and wired to 12v outlet, and set up 2 lamps inside (temporarily) I will be purchasing quite a few things for this grow setup including a way to mount lights and a clip on fan. Anyone have any recommendations? This is something I threw together in an hour and a half

What kind of lights do you have in there? Is the odor of marijuana ok for inside your house? A fan is a good idea. You will probably want to get a timer to use with your lights when your girls get bigger.

Well this is not going to be a full life grow room. This will be used to assure she gets all the light she needs at early stages

Update! Purchased another fan and I'm running a 23w to 150w cfl, 2730 lumens, 4200k, inside reflector

Afghani. I have to purchase a digital thermometer and something to read humidity, so I'm not positive as of yet

Do you think this "one" 42w lamp/2730 lumens/4200k light will suffice in starting these seedlings up to 4 inches tall or so?

Yeah should do is it CFL? You can get them really nice and close as there's not much heat from them

Hey there. The thermoneter/humidity tool is called a hygrometer. Didn't know if you knew that. Makes it a lot easier to search for it if you know it's name. Lol.

I would keep the light a few inches from the seedlings say 3-4 just to stop any stretching. if they do stretch out they'll likely fall over and you'll need to prop them up

Barely, but the more lights the better. Your going to run into light issues, especially with 4200k

And you want a lil but of stretch with cfls. A little. Not alot.

6500k is the wavelength you want for growing at this stage. 2700k at flower.
