Hi folks,

Does any one know if lights are bad for animals, my cat seems to enjoy them, she's not really interested in the weed to be honest.

I would ask my Vet...but they would probably call the police, sadly they have yet to see the benefits of cannabis for grumpy anti-social fat cats.

I do not know for sure, but I would guess their eyes may have issues like ours.

If there isn't lots of UV in those lights, I don't see how it could be bad for her. Cats can handle that , "dimming" the light with her pupils as required. If it was too bright she wouldn't enjoy being there.

Edit: And that 3rd pic...her very own bed in the tent... love it

Yep I was thinking it might not be great for their eyes, the lights aren't powerful enough to burn their skin or anything like a sunbed etc but wasnt sure about longer exposure.

That video made me giggle, mine's is only ever had a sniff never tried eating it, I thought dogs might be worse for eating plants?

She doesn't go in it for great amounts of time to be honest and only occasionally, usually a few naps over a couple days then changes to somewhere else and doesn't go back for ages. She might have that SAD disorder and needs a little recharge.

I have never heard anyone talk about this topic, good question.

I would imagine they would treat most lights overhead like the sun, and not stare at it long, if at all. I think she would be fine, since it is just a light, and it's not close to her at all.
