GSR and auto flower, anyone tried?

Just wanted to know if anyone has tried the Gas Lantern Routine with an auto flower yet.
I searched but didn't see any.

Since autos grow and mature independent of any specific light schedule, I don't think that GLR would have much positive impact on them during vegging, in fact it would probably slow their growth as compared to 24/0, 18/6, 16/8, etc., and if you didn't switch to 12/12 at the right time, you would have a good chance of hermaphroditism. GLR works on the principle of getting the plant to produce female hormones earlier and in more abundance without actually forcing it to flower. Autos already do that in a different way so at best GLR would be redundant.

well im gonna try to veg this thai fantasy auto I got in GLR and then move it into 12/12 after a month or so.
i'll probably start a journal on it and share the results.
it was a freebie seed... so no great loss.

ok newbie question.
if I do create a hermie and it pollenates itself, would that not be a female seed?

From what I've read, typically yes, but it might have a tendency to hermie depending on a variety of factors including, environment, genetics, etc.

right now my thinking is if it does hermie, im gonna try to get as many seeds as possible.
can't hurt to have a bunch of thai fantasy female autos.
