Good morning I have a question I've been reading during flowering after 5 weeks the plant no longer uses its fan leaves to photosynthesis if anyone one can shie some light on this it would be greatly appreciated. As you all know I'm working with a cfl setup and I want to pull a good percentage of the fan leave off my ladies to get that extra light penetration on the lower bud sites

Do it. Those fans, although good in veg and early flower are just using up energy that could be put into flower production now. The plant is no longer growing bro, all its focus is on reproduction...give the girl what she needs to grow fat calyxes

IMHO Big green leaves soak up light and are the "solar panels" that energize the plant? All I know is my girls like having the leaves on?

No, there is a definite benefit to selective pruning. Do what you want bro...you gotta learn somehow

42 Day's 12/12 Flowering Update!!

Hey wassup hope everyone is doing great on their grows.Happy father's day to all the fathers out there get medicated you deserve it lol ok so today my girls have been flowering for 6 weeks everything is doing well haven't ran into any problems so far during the flowering period I'm thinking my intention to haverst after 8 week is going to go a little further maybe 72 day I'm not sure but it looks like they have alittle while longer to go pistils are still shooting out every where and I think they are going to swell up at lest 2× the size they are now just my hypothesis so far so good I'm happy with the progress right now using cfl's

Thanks bro pretty soon hopefully I will be on that real deal brix system with the kit then we will see some real numbers thanks for the estimate make me feel like Im running with the big boys like you

When you get the kit you can do stuff like this 15 brix beauty. And she hasnt got the reproductive feeding yet. When she does...woooo, look out now! She'll be shooting to 16/17 brix.
