Why are people still trying to make marijuana look so bad? Everybody now knows the history on the criminalization of marijuana and the reasons behind it. Harry Anslinger's, the leader in criminalizing marijuana in the 30's, reasons.
1. Didn't like mexicans because of their cheap labor during the depression and started calling cannabis "marijuana" like the mexicans called to make weed look bad on the american front.
2. Wanted to stop the the competition between hemp and DuPont petrochemical company.
3. Said "marijuana makes the blackies feel like they are as good as the whites". A very racist remark
4. Said that marijuana wil cause you to go crazy and will cause death. If this was true I would have died in a pshyco ward 2 years ago.
This guy did nothing but put down the drug and used the media at the time to fill the easily manipulative citizens and gov't to follow. After people found out was full of sh*t why did they still go after marijuana. It annoys me.
