Help - Is my light suitable for starting seedlings for the first 2 weeks?

I would like to use this light to prevent my seedlings from stretching. I previously had them on a south facing windowsill but they got about 3.5 inches tall so I buried them up to the cotydylons. I then put my desk lamp over them and a white tube of paper around the cup to keep in light. The bulb is a 6 watt cool white.

I would like some tips about how to start seedlings on windowsill.

I would like to know if my light will prevent them from stretching as seedlings.

babies like warm and moist and light,, windowsills are cold and dark and wet,,

your plant looks good,, if the light is a cfl then it will work, if it is hot it will burn that close, soon enuf.

your plant will very quickly outgrow that light
