If I have a single air flow entry 600 watt HPS with a glass lens how close could I bring the light to my plants with no harm ? Please answer from experience this is the last step of my buying the proper light.
How close can I move a air cooled 600 watt light to plants ?

Well that depends on what you buy to cool it. A 4 inch vortex hooked up to 1 600 watt light, you will be able to touch the glass, and it will feel cool. So with a 4" vortex you will be able to keep the light 4-6 inches away
12-18 inches from the bulb in an aircooled reflector is my limit. Anything closer and my leaves start getting bleached and a little crispy. I use Artic Sun AC reflectors and Hortilux Super HPS 600 watt bulbs with a 449 CFM vortex fan pulling air through a Carbon filter and the reflectors. Hope this helps.
