How to cure like a pro?

Hey there,
Just started to take the buds off the branches. It’s been drying for a little more than 3 weeks in my shed. Sugar leaves were trimmed just before hanging.
My concern is that the buds don’t look like the pictures on websites that sell weed. You know, the nice cured look of a full bud.
The stems will snap off crisply and the bud feels dry enough.

Just wanted to know if I’m doing this right or if it’s just because different strains dry differently??
Thanks in advance. Photos included.

The stems shouldn’t snap right off, just bend. May be overdried. Curing won’t change the appearance much. That’s more related to the strain and the growing conditions.

some buds are light and airy while others are dense nuggets, it depends on the genetics and the growers skill level - plus the cure and dry process.

Get that jarred up right away, do you have mini hygrometers for your jars? If not then get some pronto. They have different kinds some are jar lid style others are cheap imported molded plastic style. When rh dips to 55% the cure process of converting sugars to carbs has stopped.

last read up in this thread, low & slow curing is really good, I split my harvest with 20% for cobs, 40% for traditional dry hang for 7 to 10 days and into jars and the last 40% goes low and slow fridge curing.
