How to install blocking inductor

I recently bought a blocking inductor for a 600 w MH/HPS ballast, and I can't understand how to install it.
I bought it from Head and nature, and when I emailed them and asked, they said they weren't allowed to inform me about this.

The blocking inductor is supposed to be inserted between the electricity mains and the ballast, but how is this possible, as I can put an electrical chord in on one side only, on the other side there is nothing..
I would have expected both an input of some kind on one side, to go to the electricity mains, and an output of some kind to go to the ballast...
Please excuse my bad english, aren't familiar with electrical terms..

I would appreciate some guide somewhere how to install this blocking inductor!
Thank you!

I'm not sure I want to give you the information you are looking for. Unless you are building your own ballast there is no reason to install a choke. The only thing this will do when placed prior to your ballast is remove the upper or lower half of the sine wave and cause you ballast not to fire. It can only be used on a magnetic ballast and should be used as part of the ballast assembly.
