Last year during school i didnt see the reason in writing pointless essays about meaningless topics. So i decided not to do them, so i failed. Ill admit it was a dumb move but in summer school we were required to write a poem about what happens to you after you die... so i got stoned, and wrote a kick ass poem and its now being published on the front page of the New Hampshire Literary Magazine or somethin like that, any way here it is...
Open Your Eyes
Open your eyes for the first time
For the last time
As the ground starts to fade
A sea of darkness fulfills your vision
And in the distance is a light that draws near
As you approach the florescent, your senses dissipate
All that exists is the light and you, nothing else
Nor hot, nor cold, nor wet, nor dry, nor silence, nor noise
Just light
When all darkness has been removed, an ocean full of noise suddenly surrounds you, wrapping you in sound
The noise slowly transforms into an elaborate orchestra of the senses
And the conductor is a man called death
You look at your limbs and realize they've left you
Instead wings have sprouted from your shoulders
And feathers flow throughout your body
You soar through the sky
Not stopping or slowing for anyone but your self
You are free
