Can you use anything besides an HPS light to grow lowryder plants?

I read they are simple to grow, and they just need warmth and decent lighting..

So my question is, are there any lightbulbs/lamps that can be used to create the same type of lighting without spending 100+ on HPS?

Compact flouresents...

There are bigger ones, that even go up to 125 watts.

When you are getting a compact flo. there is two ratings. They say "same as incandesent 150, but only uses 32 watts. This means the plant is only getting 32 watts, not 150.

plants dont need watts... they need lumens... so check how many lumens the bulb puts out instead of checking the wattage.
