hey i was wondering if there were single hps light fixtures to buy like the ones stratlogic used in his grow box. or did he just take apart a ballast or something

you can buy all the parts separately.
figure out your wattage
buy the hps ballast and hps bulb for that wattage,
buy a mogul socket

wire it up
done
