Humidity is out of control

To me a runoff ph of 6.4 would seem normal. What comes out is always higher than what goes in, at least in my grow .

Hmmm...just realized I wasn't sub'd to your current grow - that problem is fixed, now! :high-five:

You're growing in soil, correct, and not coco? The soil-less mix is more like a hempy/hydro and requires lower PH than soil.

I grow in sunshine mix- soilless. With the occasional coco or perlite grow. :passitleft:

In Sunshine mix soilless my runoff tends to be around 6.7. That mix contains lime so that’s part of the reason for ph to swing that high. But so far every medium I’ve grown in with my setup has shown an upward swing in the root zone. My coco plants usually have runoff in the low sixes, as do the ones in perlite, hydroton, and rockwool, as far as I’ve noticed.
I’ve always focussed 99% on the ph that goes in. Making sure the meter is working and calibrated, and leaving the mix to sit for an hour or sometimes even overnight to make sure it’s stabilized and I’m not fooling myself.
Measuring runoff ph is mainly an emergency thing, and as long as my plants look happy I never need to check what the runoff says.
Having said all that- this is obviously a ph emergency and something is off the rails if it’s that high. I’d double check the meter, and try mixing up and ph balancing a bucket of your regular nute mix and leaving it overnight to see what happens with the ph.

I am with weasel on this one. I would check your ph meter. Make sure your test callabrate solution,ph 7 ph 4, has not been diluted or tainted in any way. Also, the ph meter has to stay wet. That little glass ball will dry out and screw the pen up.
For me, I was collaborating my ph meter and getting different ph readings. I bought the test kit that takes drops and it was giving me a more accurate reading.
You could take a water sample to your local grow shop and they should be able to test it or take it to a pool supply company and they will test it for free.
Ph is a frustrating water problem and can cause lock out and crazy things to happen. Good luck

My ph meter is looking to be almost perfect...I was .2 off from what the reading was suppose to be....shes hurting but here's what she looks like after the flush and about to water now with minimal nutes due to being dry already...figured I'll just let this one play out and see how she reacts....there are new pistols growing on the bright side at least

Hey everyone, here's the girl now 10 days later after the flush, PH fix and nute fix.

She is starting to come back and looks better every day and damn is she thirsty. The issue I think I was having is fox farms trio is very potent and I don't think I really grasped what people meant by "a 1/4 strength" being too excited to start lol (newbie excitement) it called for 10ml of bloom and 5ml of grow big so theoretically 2.5ml of big bloom and 1.25ml of grow big makes sense also adding 3ml of cal mag and then PHing down a bit.

I think because the bloom is so thick and dark colored that maybe my PH was a little off too (well, clearly lol).

Training her a little bit as well before it gets too stalky...nice white pistols coming through and tops are forming all around surprisingly after all this. She'll definitely be a small yielded imo but oh well, on to the next.

As a newbie myself, some advice for guys possibly coming through this thread...LESS IS ALWAYS BETTER TO START. Let me be your test rat and learn from my mistakes to save yourself time and hassle. You can always fix a nute defic. But especially with autos as I'm learning, their life is short as it is, make the girls happy from the start and in turn you'll be the same.

Anyways I appreciate all the help guys, that's why this is the best forum, quick replies, humble guys, and amazing looking plants. I'll be keeping this journey updated until harvest then I'll be starting my next grow soon.

Live and you learn, and you always have room to learn....Happy growing and grow on brothers

2 weeks later and she's going strong. Very surprised to be honest.
