I just want to cry.. I found 2 males.. what can I do with them?

So I'm really pretty high right now, and I was checking out the flowering room and I just discovered 2 males out of my 5 plants. I am 90% sure they are males. One has a single hair at the bottom (very tiny) and is forming little, little. little. footballs around new shoots. they are so tiny, I cannot be sure if it is just new growth, or male sacs.

Is there anything I can do with these plants aside from leaving them to produce seed? I love my plants very much and this is much more than a hobby to me. I almost want to clip the plant up and make a male pot salad out of it, because I feel so bad about growing something and then killing it just because its sex. Kind of seems a little racist almost. maybe prejudice. I am so high. Please. someone help me ..

post up some pics of the nodes, it may or may not be male. If it is a male, the only use for it is collecting pollen, so if you're not planning on making seeds and crossing strains, just kill it. There is a very very very small amount of THC in males, useless to smoke or consume, you won't get high from them at all.

Best bet indoors is to use female seeds, or once you find a female, clone it, clone it, and clone it some more.

Thanks for the response bud. Now that my high kind of wore off I just feel like an idiot for that last post lol. Man I hate it when that happens. But yeah, I was still high at the time... so I chopped one up and put the leaves in my burrito It actually was really good, but the rice and beans blanded out the tase, and the occasional bite full of leaf was unusual; kind of like trying to chew lettuce with the texture of a cat's tounge. The other went into the fireplace, so I managed to use both without totally wasting life.

They were in fact definetely both males. I don't know how quickly pollen sacks can grow, but they quickly became noticeably different from the females with little, little, little footballs where my other girls have little bud nodes/pistils. I did take some pics, but their resolution is awful; i'll try and refine them some to post on my journal for reference. again O.T

i know that eating the leaves prob wont kill you but just remember weather your using chemical nutes or organics, those fertz get pulled up and then stored into the plants leaves to be broken down into usable food for the plants functions, meaning unless you flushed your plant out before you started nomming down on the fan leaves you might have ingested for of those fertz... I'm sure you didnt have enough to make a difference, IDK just theory, any experts wanna chime in on the saftey side of this possible venture??

I know it would be purley a added taste sort of thing because the male plant wouldnt have any physco active property to mess you up and even if it had, it wouldnt be active, to activate it you need an alcohol, Butane, fat, or fire before injestion, however the fire wouldnt taste good being on fire, and the Alcohol/ Butane requires a little finish work before safe enough for ingestion.. haha

other then that, sorry to hear you had 2 males, havent found any males yet but my current grow (being only one larger plant) is showing signs of being a Hermie, and two of my last plants were hermie to.

it sucks! but better to have found them before they raped those other lovely precious remaining virgins hahaha

yeah brotha you said it. the only guy thats gonna be porking these girls are me!! haha I've seen someone make hash with butane before but I didnt really get the process since he never ignited the material. And for about half this grow I was using Foxfarm every other week so I'm sure it was'nt the best idea to eat it but I was trying to come up with a discreet means of disposal.. and I was hungry Thanks for helping,

I would take them out back.....give them a pair of concrete shoes.....then I would ummmm head down to the local quarry and toss them in...no mess ....no fuss.....quick and easy.....like in the movies....Aaandddd...CUT...

If you aren't collecting pollen - in which case you'd want to completely segregate them from your girls - the best use for a male cannabis plant is... compost.

I suggest in the future that you start checking your plants with a jeweler's loupe once they've got their eighth node or so. You should be able to determine their sex before you even get to the point where you'd be placing them in flower.

I'm glad somebody knows how to have a little fun on this website. If it was me (even tho i guess it was me lol), I'd tie em down to a table, and put his head in a vice till one of their eyeballs popped like in the movie Casino. Then i'd say " You made me pop your effin eyeball out of your skull for that piece of sh*t Charlie M?" Tough irish bastard ... Man i hope you've watched casino before haha.

Male cannabis plants really DO make excellent compost material. Well, females do as well, but we of course have a better use for them, lol. Cannabis is one of those plants that can add back a great deal to the ground in terms of nutrients.

I apologize if I used words that you found offensive or hard to understand in any way. I guess I unconsciously make an assumption about the intelligence of the people that I am communicating with via the Internet. I realize that is an assumption that I should not make, but it is mostly an unconscious thing. I intended no offense in doing so. We are all stuck on this rock together and if we were all the same, it'd be quite a boring experience.

The main thing is that you now have several opinions on what to do with your male cannabis plants, yes?
