MH or HPS?

G'day,
i need to switch my girls over into the flower room in 10-14 days.
im running a RDWC system, with x6 MH bulbs (600W),
i have been tipping (topping) them so they are quite bushy ,but only about 50cm (1.5 foot) tall .
i really need them to double their height in the next 2 weeks before they go into the 12/12 room,
-someone told me that if i change my bulbs over to HPS for the next couple of weeks they will grow taller than if i keep the MH's in?
-( im using high end LED's in the flower room)
can anyone tell me if this is true, using HPS instead of MH for next 2 weeks to get taller girls, and how high above the plants should the bulbs be to get the best vertical growth in my bushy girls.
cheers

You can use hps for trying to stretch.
Dont think two weeks Will make them Double in size.

But when you Flip to 12/12 they may stretch a little bit more in the abscense of BLUE light.

Sativas may double to almost triple the size when they are flipped to 12/12. Indicas tend tô 1.5x to a maximum 2x of the preflowering height.

So you topped your plants and now want them to grow taller??

Thats an interesting approach.

Try amending with kelp meal, malted barley ground fine, ewc and Ful-power. Kelp has natural plant growth regulators that will help with cell elongation in the short term.

Make a tea let sit for 4 hours shake and dilute with water. It's not subtle.
