Missing nutes in the liquid fert?

Hi guys,
My first grow is going on. Haven't added much nutes yet but will start to soon.

I am using Manutec Nitroplus for veg and Potash for flower.
Looking and researching I found out these nutes are missing Silica.

So I am going to buy the following

Is that alright to use? And normally when and how frequently should I add this silica.
I am also using these nutes for a fairly low nutrient seedling mix and later on in coco when I start one. I am growing two other plants in a slow fert soil so will not add any nutes in that one.

Also is there any thing else missing on these nutes other then Silica?
I do have a separate cal mag mix which I have only used once .

Good morning @kisshell hope you are well my friend.
Silicate is to be used once a week mixed in plain water only.
Great stuff for your girls.
Calmag is more for coco, what are you growing in.
Soil generally doesn't require Calmag, and can leave residue that will choke your roots eventually.
If you see a deficiency then use Calmag in soil.
Happy growing.

Hey Bill,
Good morning mate.

I am trying all different medium.
1) Oscomote tomatoe and herb slow Fert mix
2) Oscomote seed and cut mix (2 plants)
The seedling mix don't have too much on it so was thinking about using it in this medium.

I already have coco buffered and will start a plant with coco may be in 2 weeks from seed. It will be an auto.
But atm I am looking to get advice on the oscomte seed and cut mix which also has coir on it.
Also, I am a little nervous starting auto in coco. Do you know a guide on how to water and nute in seedling stage in coco?

Your soil mix , oscomote will be good for 2 weeks before you should start fertilizing.
Even if it has nutrients left in it.
I like to feed feed and feed more so I wouldn't wait until it runs out and shows a deficiency.
Just the way I like to do it.
Soil is fed at 6.3 ph. Even with a " little coco in it for aeration " .
Soil is fed , dry , water , dry , feed , dry , water , dry......all at 6.3 ph.
Coco needs fed full strength nutrients every day at 5.8 ph to runoff.
Coco must be kept wet at all times , yet never given any plain water.
Watering a gir in coco is similar to regular watering " the actual process"
Frequency and contents are the main differences.
Here is a thread on watering a baby in soil.
Technique is the same, you just have to do it every day with full strength nutrients at 5.8 ph.

Give that a read an we can adapt to coco.

:) :)
I have already read that and I follow the same process for my plants till now.
But I had no idea how to water or relate it with coco.
I am still confused so trying to figure coco.
I had no idea I had to feed the whole strength from seedling stage?
So water the 3 gal pot till run off comes out of the fabric pot?
I also read that you have to water coco twice so I was little confused about that and also if we nute both the water run as it may double the nutrients ??
But you tell me only water once a day from seedling following the watering guide.
Thanks for the help mate.
You are just awesome with you advice. How long have you been growing ?
Starting my first grow has really made me more satisfied and also little busy which I need.

I'm so glad you are enjoying your garden my friend.
When you start your seed you can give mild nutrients.
Then gradually raise it as she grows.
But don't give full strength to babies, I'm so sorry for not clarifying that.:Namaste:
I'd start in a solo cup the same as soil.
Let that fill with roots then go to your 3 gal pot.
Have you had a chance to look at my Gorilla Glue clone thread in my sig.
It is my perpetual veg room.
55 girls all coco.
But there are pictorials on how to clone fill pots and uppot.
There is also some watering tips.
That might help you too.
Have a good weekend.
Talk soon.

Morning Bill,
I have just planted an auto seed on a 3 gal coco.
I tried to germinate in paper towel but after 36 hours the root just came out very little.
I might have kept more water in the papertowel.
Today I planted one seed in coco and other on seed and plant mix. The one on the seed mix is almost above ground.
Now I am little nervous about germinating in coco as I read that I had to put in jiffy seed medium before adding in coco but some say it's fine.
I added cal mag and quarter strength of nutes till run off and then planted the seed. Is that right or should I just water normal ph water in coco before it goes above soil?
Also should I just water once a day right from start following Emily's watering steps?

Good morning my friend, hope you are having a good day.
Until you see leaves you don't need nutrients.
Then just a week solution at first.
But yes feed daily according to that thread. At 5.8 ph.
You can go directly into coco no problem.
Some people like peat pods , they are good for seeds.
I let the tail pop in paper towel then put it in the coco half inch deep tail down.
Cover and wet with plain water.
It should pop right up.
Is your coco washed and buffered?

Oo. That's a relief. However I did a run off today with cal mag and quarter nute.
The ppm was about 374 but the run off was even less like 324 so not sure if that's good or bad.
I did pre buffer with cal mag for 2 x 24 hours but there was a day gap with buffering as I didn't have the PH meter.
I am watering with 5.8 to 6 ph water.

Don't worry about run off.
Just concentrate on what's going in.
2 x 24 hr is plenty of time that's great.
Net time I suggest pre washed and buffered, much easier and no guessing.
I use Canha coco great stuff.
Also 5.8 ph will be vital going forward.
It's best to be dead on that number every time.
Don't let it drift up too far, 5.7 -5.8 or 5.9 nothing out of this range.
Put your calmmag in your plain water first and wait 10 minutes, this is very important for nutrient uptake.
Then add nutrients in order then set ph last, always check ph before feeding.
Water to run off every day, follow this and she will be great.

Thanks mate.
I just had 15 l of brick which I washed for a whole day but next time I am buying Canna coco although they are double the price but I figure it is worth it.
I just have few coco left so thats great.
Now only thing I am worried about is I have few gnats flying. They are few as now I have started dry wet cycle with the other soil mediums. But with coco it is always nneds to be moist so I think it will attract more Gnat? Do you have any issues with the flies with coco ?

Keep a fan blowing on top of the pots they can't land on the pots that way.
Yellow sticky traps in there will help.
Then there is mosquito dunks.
That product is for bad infestations.
Try what I suggested first.
But yes Keep it wet.

Morning Bill,
The auto I planted in coco has gone above soil yesterday. I did a full pot water yesterday but today just 60 ml water near the plant.
Should I start quarter nute and cal mag right away to run off from tommorow.
Sorry , but I am still nervous.
I had planted another seed in seed cut mix and that had gone a little bigger and went above soil 2 days earlier.
Also, today both my ph meter broke so I am gona get a ph tester tommorow morning. I have ordered a digital one from Amazon but that takes 2 to 3 days. Damn my luck.

Good morning :ciao:
1/4 strength is fine to start.
You can start cm with in the first week, is fine.
Water in a circle around her slowly getting further out from her.
A good soak.
So the tap root has something to chase.
Are you in a solo cup or pot?

Edit : Oh @kisshell just to clarify, as those roots grow increase the strength of your nutrients.
Don't let her go too long on a weak diet. ;)

It's 3 gal fabric pot .
It's a bruce banner auto. I have another for a friend in seed mix in small pot. So I just need to run around small diameter 3x time the plant till run off right?

You don't need run off in a tiny baby.
Just a good soak.
You have to give that tap root something to chase.
In a circle, gradually getting bigger.
Did you read Em's watering thread?

Ya I did read Emily's guide but got confused if I should be wetting the whole coco. I got it now. So just follow her guide but just water everyday for coco. And follow the 3x height and 3x diameter . Also from tommorow I'll add may be half cal mag and quarter nitro nutes. Hope the coco will grow bigger than the seed mix . I have one in the seed mix which is a week old. Thanks man for all your advice.
