i have decided to make my own soil and someone gave me some bone and blood meal should i use this in my soil they didnt know what i was using the soil for my wife has lots of tropical house plant they think that is what the soil is for

Blood meal is a nutrient source high in Nitrogen.

Bone meal is a nutrient source high in Phosphorus.

You will need other things to make a "soil-mix" besides just these. These items may include but are not limited to perlite, vermiculite, peat, wormcastings. You could also amend an existing store bought soil-mix with a little of each.

Personally, I make the soil as mild (nutrient wise) as possible and mostly rely on liquid feeding to get the job done. :peace:

thanks roorman i have peat perlite and a cheap store bought soil i plan on adding peat and perlite to the soil wich is topsoil sand and compost but dries very quick is just not doing much for me so i am adding peat and perlite maybe just a little of the bone and blood
