:welcome: I have been moving my light with the growth of the plants and was told by another grower that Im wasting my time i would get better results by leaving them high for better light cannopy. That by leaving them in one place out ways the stretch you get. Any input is greatly appreciated:thanks:

JJ has great advice here......stretching sux.....why would you not want more light concentrated on the canopy instead of a light just a showering the entire scene....Keep the light low and again I'm ready to welcome your buddy to :420: so he can do some homework....:ciao:

Also, the farther away the lights are from the the less light they receive.

If the bulbs you are using put out say 1000 lumens from the bulb, this is usually measured at one inch away. So at one foot, you will be receiving about 250 lumens, at two feet away, you're getting about 62.5 lumens.

Lights should be as close as you can get them without burning the plants. If you can't cover the whole canopy that close, then add more lights.
