My first groiw in the house

this is my first grow in the house and im wondering how this plant is doing. using 4 cfl bulbs that put out 100 watts a piece and the dirt is regular black top soil and using regular water for watering. a little food every couple weeks.

looking for any tips you might have

from this very limited photo, i see issues with your newest growth. looks like it is lacking a proper diet with the twisted and slim tips on the newest leaves. that specifically is from a zinc deficiency. i suggest feeding with some fox farms grow big every other watering at the bare minimum. when you start to flower her change the light cycle to 12/12 and switch to fox farms tiger bloom. that is bare-minimum requirements to keep a decent plant.

Also what size pot do you have the plant in, it looks a little small from the pic, you should want to use 4 -5 gallon pots for good root growth

its 5 gallons about a foot and a half tall

its been growing like 2 inches a day, any idea on what to do about that so it quits growing tall and bushes like crazy?

Read up on LST and FIM/cropping. What are you using for light?
