Your 1 week old plant does not need that much light yet, I would place 1 26 watt (actual power) Compact Florescent Light at 5"-6" from your plant and add more lights as your plant grows. What is the type of Miracle Gro soil that you purchased, does it have time released nutrients in it? When I first started growing I used Miracle Gro soil thinking adding time released nutrients would be a good thing and had nothing but problems with it, it will often burn seedlings or create problems when additional nutrients are added. A better soiless mixture that I now use is peat moss, perlite, vermiculite and mycorrhizae. When you transplant your plant to a larger pot you should transplant it to a different soil mixture and use other nutrients. I use General hydroponic Flora series 3 part nutrients that can be mixed for all stages of vegetative growth and flowering. General Hydroponics Flora series nutrients can be used in hydroponic, soil and soiless mediums.
here is everything you should need to know to post full size photographs
