My plant needs help

I wanted to try growing a plant. Just to see if it was really as complex as I had read. Ugh, was I wrong in my thinking. This Blue Dream popped out of the soil on March 3rd. I made many mistakes. Kept it on 12/12 schedule, over then underwatered, poor soil, broke the roots completely off when I transferred from a huge container. I finally think I have it on track. It has grown again, the stems are green instead of purple/red again. It’s started smelling of weed and has I believe signs of female preflower. My question is, is this plant a lost cause?? The little one is A 9 day old lemon pound cake. It’s much better off I believe. Also, I will be transferring them into separate, dark colored pots in a few days. I have attached pics of the BD on May 3rd when I moved into a smaller container, may 14th when the LPC popped up and this morning. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

It's not a lost cause as long as it's not an auto. If it has pre-flowers (which I couldn't see in the pics), you'll want to get it under 24/0 lighting until she starts throwing 5, or more, bladed leaves. In other words, you'll need to transition her from flowering back to veg and that can take a few weeks of as much light as possible. You'll also want to separate those two plants ASAP and put in their own containers. The one you have is too small for even one mature plant and you don't want the roots of the two plants getting inter-twined so you rip them all when trying to up-pot. :goodluck:

thanks. It’s growing 5 and 7 blade leaves but only the little ones down below the larger leaves. I have a pic of what I thought was preflower. As well as how dense the leaves are.

When she goes from flower back into veg, she'll be throwing 3-fingered leaves, which is a sign of stress. You need to wait until you get new growth with 5+ blades before you put her back into flower or you risk hermying. Yes, those are pre-flowers!

Alright. Thank you. I am setting things up now to separate them.

is that a glass bowl you are growing in, without drainage holes in the bottom? That won't work. Many of us start our plants in solo/beer cups with 4 or 5 small holes drilled or burned into the bottom

no. It’s just a clear plastic jug I cut. I have holes now. I wasn’t aware I had to do more than germinate and stick it in some dirt when I started. I started it in a 3 gallon fish tank. The container it’s in now is only for a few more days. I’m getting things set up now to separate them and put the bigger one in a one gallon pot and the smaller in a pot just a bit bigger but taller than the one they are in now.

I just wanted to give a quick update. My plants are doing okay I believe. I got them transferred into something a bit bigger but not large. I don’t think I want them huge. I’m growing in my kitchen right now. The older plant still isn’t growing any 5-7 bladed leaves. There is a ton of new growth that I believe is going to end up with moreblades but they are all along the stem. The younger one popped out of the soil 13 days ago. It already has 7 blades on the new leaves.

I updated pics. I followed your guys recommendations and I believe they are looking pretty great. Especially the 13 day old one. Thanks again!
