Noise reduction

suspending it by rubber bungies might help like he said above.
this should cause a difference. I heard doing this to filters and fans cuts down alot of the vibrations and sound from the unit.
if that dont work
maybe try buying a different fan? one that isnt so loud.

good luck.
roll one for me!!!

Is the noise from the intake/outtake, the actual unit, or vibrating on the wall??? You can get speed controllers that allow you to drop the speed of the fan therefor making it quieter which will only work if the fan is just to powerful...They do have baffles that are supposed to quiet things down...

Thank you very much! I tryed useing a bungie and it worked grate!
My fan was very noisy from vibrating and now it makes no noise at all! Other then the wind.lol

ok this sounds stupid but it works. wrap as much of the exterior of your inline fan/ duct booster as you can in electrical tape. it dampens the vibration and acustic ability of the can, makes it more of a sound deadner. where as the normal metal projects sound adding electrical tape to the outside dampens soundwaves like you wouldnt belive. you do need to use alot of it though.
