One of those PC Deals

Hello all. I just wanted to share my recently completed project. It took me about a week or so to piece it all together,so far im happy with the result.

Setup consist of an old IBM Aptiva case i had in my basement. 3 80mm pc fans;2 exhaust and 1 passive intake. 2x 40w 2700k(2600 lumens),and 2x 26w 6500k(1600 lumens).

Pc case stripped down with fans mounted and installed:

Added reflective chrome duct tape inside. Cheap, easy, i hear is effective

Next is the mock up the lights. Masking tape was only used to test mount.

Next up was wiring the puppies up

Mounted and installed working!!!!

Temperature inside with all lights and fans running

The top temp is my room temperature and the bottom is the temp from inside the case

So far plans are to run some mexi bag seed and some og kush bag seed in soil until i can step up to something bigger

I still find it hard to believe a plant can be grown in such a narrow space...gonna do a journal on this one? Also, are you going to clean those fans off? Looks like a lot of gunk and funk on them.

The first time i ever saw a pc grow it blew my mind. So i had to give it a try eventually. I can do a journal im sure it would arouse the interest of others or inspire them like it has for me. The fans im going to leave alone. After i snapped the pics i was surprised at how well the little bit of dust photoed and actually theres just a spec of dust on there.

good job! interesting. where did you get the cfl mounts with the holes from and what do they run? i didnt even know those existed.

I got them from lowes they were $2.99 a piece. They had several different kinds to choose from some cheaper some more expensive
