Plant seeds into seedling soil or the normal?

Hey guys, I got a question. I have always use to start my seeds in a smaller container using seedling soil. Then transplant them into a larger container with Gold Label Special Mix soil.

To my question:
Is it necessary to plant the seeds in seedling soil first? I am out of seedling soil and wondering if I just could go with the Gold Label Special Mix from day 1.

Should be fine, IMHO. Assuming your soil is anywhere near "decent," of course.
