MARION, Ind. -- Police found more than 600 pounds of pot in two wooden skids on a truck in a bust over the weekend.

Local, state and federal authorities were told Friday that a shipment of marijuana had been parked in a warehouse in the 500 block of West 10th Street in Marion.

Police said someone came to get the truck on Saturday morning, after which police pulled the truck over.

"Investigators located two wooden skids that each contained a plastic 300-gallon tote with a cage around the outside of each tote," said Marion police Detective Sgt. Mark Stefanatos.

When the skids were unloaded, investigators said they found paint, cement and several packages of pressed marijuana.

"The total combined weight was 644 pounds," Stefanatos said. "The marijuana had the potential street value of $644,000.

Justin Brodhead, 19, and Michael Mabrouk, 18, both of Kokomo, were arrested on felony possession of marijuana charges.

Police said the totes had been shipped from Texas and were labeled as cooking oil.

I wonder who tipped LEO off? :roorrip:

They may have busted 600 pounds in one truck but it was just a decoy for another truck with the ten tons inside.
